Therefore, make an exercise schedule and stick to it. You can consult your health care provider about exercises that would be best for you according to your age and stamina. Do not try to exercise too vigorously. Keep your mind calm and cool while doing exercise to reap its maximum benefits. You can do exercises like brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and light weight lifting. Do not try to practice heavy exercises as these may prove fatal. Staying active as much as possible is the best way to escape the clutches of diabetes.

Maintain control and stay calm when feeling stressed

Try to free your mind from any kind of stress to live a long, healthy, prosperous and happy life. Bring positive energy into your life and flush out all negative energies. Listening to your favorite music, meditating in a serene and calm place, thinking positive things, practicing yoga are some of the effective ways to de-stress yourself. If something is bothering you then stop thinking about it for some time and concentrate your mind on other useful activities. Expecting to get a quick solution for your problems is useless when your mind is disturbed, tensed and stressed out. You can get the solution for all your worries only when you feel relaxed and stress free. Sleep soundly to combat stress effectively. Avoid overeating even if the food served on your plate tempts you to crave for more. Make sure that your body does not have to bear the burden of extra calories.

Diabetes is now the 7th leading cause of death in the U.S.A..There are about 25.80 million Americans who have diabetes, 8.3 million of them doesn't even know they have diabetes. This hub will be very useful in preventing diabetes. Thanks for sharing! Voted up!
